We offer 2 different classes at Plantation Animal Hospital taught by Rebecca Hudson.

The first is Puppy Pre-school, this comprehensive 2 hour class covers:

•Puppy Basics

•Housetraining

•Play Biting

•Grooming

•Handling Exercises

•Pre-Obedience (come, sit, down, stay, heel, etc.)

Classes are from 12pm to 2pm on Saturdays:  Inquire about the next available date.

There is a $20 fee.  There is an 8 week of age minimum and all vaccines must be current.  Call now to book your spot.

The second is our 6-week obedience class held at Plantation Animal Hospital.  Each class is approximately 1 hour long.  They are Wednesdays at 6:30pm.  Enrollment is limited to please call to reserve your spot.

Requirements:

•Dogs must be 16 weeks or older

•Dogs older than 6 months must be spayed/neutered or have Dr's waiver

•Dogs must be up to date on the following vaccines (Rabies, Bordetella, at least 2 Distemper-Parvo)

Basic Obedience Commands will be covered such as:

come, sit, down, sit up, stand, stay (from sit and down), place, leave and drop it, settle and loose leash walking

The price is $70 per dog.  Payment is made to Plantation Animal Hospital prior to the first class.

The first class is where owners bring proof of vaccines, enrollment sheets, and the trainer discusses the course objectives, type of equipment needed for the course (leashes/collars, treats, mats), teaching methods, etc.  *Dogs should not be brought to the first class*. 

The sixth class is graduation!  Owners and dogs will demonstrate all of the commands learned.  Pictures are taken of the owners and dogs and graduation certificates are presented to the graduates.

Dates for obedience classes are:  January 4th - February 8th & February 22nd - March 28th. Classes will break for the holidays and resume after the new year.
